CATHEDRAL CHAPTER

The Cathedral Chapter of Santiago de Compostela stands as a venerable body of canons entrusted with the sacred governance of the Apostolic Cathedral, wherein are venerated the relics of Saint James the Greater. From ancient times, this Chapter has labored in faithful service to the Church, assisting the Archbishop in the ordering of divine worship and the stewardship of the holy sanctuary.
Across the centuries, the Chapter has remained steadfast in its duties: preserving sacred tradition, maintaining the dignity of worship, and safeguarding the spiritual legacy entrusted to the Cathedral. Even in the present age, it endures as a pillar of ecclesiastical life, devoted to the honor of God and the service of the faithful.
